TRAINING & PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT

The Training & Placement (T&P) department is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain the placements best suit them and is primarily liaison between industry and the Institute.

The Training wing consistently researches and interact with the recruiters understand their expectations from prospective students and create an annual roadmap for training. The department executes the training plan and consistently tracks the student’s performance to ensure improvement through periodic assessment tests. These periodic mock assessment tests aid students to know their areas of strength which they can upgrade further, and their areas of improvement which they can focus much time on them. The Training scope includes aptitude, technical , language skills , personality development and awareness on the company. The Training Team consists of both in-house and external trainers who are trained to provide a differential learning experience focused on application oriented to the students. Thus the entire process of training unlike tradition system covers the essential techniques to solve logical and aptitude problems,  Impart avenues to improvise the language and personality and more significantly enhance the competency in strengthening the technical concepts   and extending the application of the concepts in real time systems thus enable them to surpass the expectations of the industry. Academic rigour coupled with training norms like Mock Tests, Group Discussions, Industry Expert talks and Alumni Addressing have equipped the students with the required skills and knowledge that the organization/company deems relevant. We are certain that our graduates would contribute to the success of the Organizations and prove to be valuable assets.

The Student forums represent the student body to the administration and provide outlets for students to be involved in meaningful activities that support the overall development of the students. Many skill enhancement initiatives are driven through the student forums so that students enjoy the learning process.  Some of the initiatives include Knowledge sharing initiative, Puzzles contest, Professional Connect,   Resume contest, Group discussion, formal dress contest etc.

Goals of Training

1. To provide a greater understanding of the subjects (Technical skills) and enable students towards application oriented learning.
2. To provide good practice of Numerical and Verbal ability tests so that students clear preliminary assessment of companies.
3. To develop the ability to see a task through to its conclusion.
4. To develop personal skills including communication, problem solving and confidence.

The placement wing of the department handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students at Reva ITM. The Placement wing gets greater acceleration with the speed of the training programs rolled out. The Placement process is initiated with a  clear focus on the students of all the academic levels, all levels of the companies are contacted  and invited for the campus recruitment drive which matches to all the academic levels of students. Branch specific core companies are focused equally to ensure students obtain the correct match of their passion and competency. The department is well equipped with excellent infra-structure to support every stage of the placement process. Arrangement for Pre-Placement Talks, interviews, Group Discussions etc. are all handled by the staff at the office. The following facilities are made available for the various activities

1. Auditoriums to conduct Pre- Placement Talks
2.  Well furnished air-conditioned rooms for interviews
3.  Fully computerized office.

The department extends all the required support for the recruiting organizations visiting the institute to carry out pre-placement talks which are presentations organized by the Company for students. These talks provides good understanding to the about the company expectation, opportunities for growth etc.

At Reva ITM we take pride in ensuring Company officials who visit our campus a great satisfaction in terms of campus recruitment process and student’s competency and we strive hard to maintain the tradition. Transportation arrangement and stay is provided in the Institute guest house for the recruiters.

Goal of Placement

1. The primary goal of the Placement cell is to provide students and alumni with the tools and skills they need to advance their careers.
2. Providing comprehensive career services including individual advising/counseling to students and alumni;
3. To maintain analytics of percentage of conversion of every stage of selection process  and focus on improving the percentage of conversion consistently.
4. Building and maintaining dynamic relationships with a large pool of Talent acquisition Team of the Companies through various professional bodies or network groups.

Placement Process

1. A cordial Invite is sent to the companies inviting them to visit Reva ITM and participate in the campus recruitment process.
2. The companies are request to furnish entire details of the open position like Job title , description , eligibility criteria , salary structure etc, the same would be communicated to the students accordingly.
3. The suitable date for the campus recruitment drive would be decided as per mutual convenience and students would be informed about the same.
4. All the students who are eligible for the campus placement drive will report at the college before the stipulated time and mark their signature on the registration sheet.
5. The students will then be to be seated in the respective Seminar hall/ Auditorium notified for the pre – placement talk.
6. The company would first initiate the pre-placement talk wherein they provide a clear picture about the company and the current job position and benefits etc.
7. After the pre-placement talk, the companies would initiate the written test followed group discussion or  by series of  Interviews technical , HR etc.
8. After the completion of the selection procedure on-campus, most of the companies would announce the final list of selected students and offer letters will be rolled out to the prospective students.

The Training & Placement (T&P) department of Reva Institute of Technology & Management (RITM) comprising of Training and Placement Officers along with Staff Placement Coordinators  and Student Placement Coordinators of all the departments. The T&P department is committed to enhance the competencies of students, make them industry-ready and provide the opportunities for placement at companies which they best fit in.
